Who is this guy?
If you want to see my resume, here it is! But if you want to learn more about how I approach creative projects, take a look below.
Support Other Peoples' Creative Projects
There's very little upside to standing in the way of someone's creative idea. First, just because you don't like the idea doesn't mean someone else won't! Be humble, you can be wrong - I know I have. Second, even if the idea is an absolute flop, we all learn from building, shaping, editing, and even knowing when to move on.
Try New Things
Experiences are tools that allow you to quickly adapt to new situations. Throughout my professional career I've pushed myself to gain new skills and have new experiences. These experiences have informed my world view, my priorities, and taught me how to quickly adapt to new situations. I've been a host at a restaurant, an Aide for a Boston City Councilor, a sea kayaking guide in Alaska, an employee at an REI store, a human robot for Google, a woodworking student, a Production Assistant, an Associate Producer, and a Senior Producer on a variety of TV shows. Each of these experiences shape how I work on a team, how I work as a leader, and how I approach storytelling and design.
Everything Has a Story
Whether it's building a software application or designing a coffee table -- the story of your product is how it is built and how it will be used by users and customers. Good design tells stories and allows stories to be told with ease and clarity.
